When life presents unexpected opportunities, saying “yes” can lead to unforgettable adventures. Recently, a group of lucky girls, including Ginger from Girls on the Gulf, had the privilege of embarking on a last-minute, spontaneous trip to Birmingham and back, all thanks to the hospitality of Elizabeth Jones, her husband Kel, and their esteemed company, Executive Aviation Group. This thrilling experience exemplifies the empowerment and camaraderie that await those who dare to seize the moment and explore the world from above!
In the Sky with Elizabeth Jones and Executive Aviation Group:
Elizabeth Jones, along with her husband Kel, have been making waves in the aviation industry through their company, Executive Aviation Group. The company’s dedication to providing exceptional service and fostering a welcoming environment was evident from the moment the girls stepped foot on their private jet. With a new addition to their jet fleet, this trip to Birmingham became a unique experience, combining business and pleasure in the most delightful way.
From Birmingham to the Grand Bohemian Hotel:
The day began with excitement and anticipation as the girls boarded the jet, ready to embark on their adventure. (We were even greeted with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne!) The ride up to Birmingham was comfortable and seamless, and made more enjoyable with our bubbles high in the sky and the home-made egg bites made by Elizabeth! After we landed, as Kel attended his FAA appointment in Birmingham, Elizabeth played the role of an extraordinary hostess, ensuring that the girls had just as an unforgettable time on land as we did in the sky.
Upon arrival in Birmingham, the girls were greeted by the city’s southern charm and elegance. Elizabeth had planned an indulgent treat for the girls, starting with mimosas at the luxurious Grand Bohemian Hotel. The vibrant atmosphere and impeccable service set the perfect tone for the day ahead.
Lunch at Helen and Shopping at the Summit:
No trip is complete without savoring the local flavors, and Elizabeth, along with the help of travel advisor, Marguerite Perkinson, who was along for the trip, made sure the girls had an authentic taste of Birmingham. Lunch at the renowned restaurant, Helen, offered a delightful culinary experience, showcasing the city’s gastronomic treasures. The girls ate tapas style, trying and sharing a bit of everything, including the Warm Angel Biscuits, The Ireland Farms Leaf Salad, Sweet Corn Ribs and Shishito Peppers, the Summer Tomato Pie, Flipper’s Bologna Sandwich, and Smoked Joyce Farms Chicken Thighs. (The biscuits with whipped cane syrup butter were the best biscuits I’ve ever tasted!) We also tried a few cocktails, “Iris By The Goo Goo Dolls,” and the Mi Amor, both of which were equally delectable.
After a satisfying meal, we ventured into the heart of Birmingham’s shopping district, the Summit. From boutique fashion outlets to artisanal shops, the Summit offered a plethora of retail therapy options, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already memorable day. After shopping, it was time to head back to Gulf Shores.
The Magic of Flight:
As the jet glided through the sky, time seemed to bend, transforming a journey that would have taken hours by road into a brief and exhilarating flight that was less than an hour. The magic of flight not only connected cities but also brought people together in ways that only shared experiences can.
Seizing the Opportunity to Bond:
While the girls may not have known each other well before this adventure, the experience brought them closer together, forming newfound friendships that will undoubtedly stand the test of time. Laughter, shared experiences, and the thrill of exploration forged bonds that transcended the boundaries of familiarity.
Looking Ahead:
Elizabeth Jones and Executive Aviation Group have exciting plans for the future. With more day trips on the horizon, including destinations like New Orleans and Nashville, the possibilities for adventure are limitless. The company’s commitment to empowering people through unique travel experiences promises to open new doors and create cherished memories for all who embark on their journeys. Also, if you are local to Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, be sure to keep your eyes open for the next edition of Social Coastal Magazine, which will include more about this amazing company and our girls’ day thanks to Melinda Mcghee, Editor of Social Eastern Shore, who was also on this spontaneous girls’ trip!
Conclusion:
The spontaneous girls’ trip with Executive Aviation Group showcased the power of saying “yes” to the unexpected. Elizabeth Jones, Kel, and their dedicated team are not only making waves in the aviation industry, but also empowering locals like us to embrace life’s adventures. As the girls eagerly anticipate their next escapade, they carry with them the unforgettable memories of this remarkable journey and the newfound friendships that blossomed in the sky. Here’s to saying “yes” to new experiences, to friendship, and to the boundless possibilities that await when we soar high and embrace the world from above.
Cheers to new friends and endless adventures! 🥂🛩️
