The Girls on the Gulf and our families recently visited Waterville USA in Gulf Shores and had the best time! Iconic Waterville USA offers 20-acres of fun on property at their waterpark, amusement park, escape rooms, and newly added bowling & Top Golf swing suites. You can book your suite or escape house tickets online too!

Located just 1/4 mile from the beach, Waterville is in the heart of beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama. Waterville’s commitment to your memorable, picture perfect experience is what keeps families coming back day after day, year after year, since 1986. From thrilling water slides, the simulated surfing experience called the Flowrider, lazy rivers, kids area, and huge wave pool, there are activities for a variety of all ages and swimming abilities.

We started our day in the arcade in the brand new state-of-the-art Top Golf Suites. The adults enjoyed playing virtual rounds of golf at courses from around the country while the children played dodgeball with zombies in the suite next to us! Everyone had a great time, especially the husbands! Next, we bowled, and the children had so much fun taking photos for the scoreboard graphics and bowling with the smaller child-sized bowling balls.

After all of that playing, it was time for a snack! We ordered some delicious appetizers and a pesto chicken flatbread pizza from the Sunset Café conveniently located inside the arcade. Everything was hot and fresh and we all enjoyed the meal.

After we had enough of the indoor fun, we changed into our pool attire and headed out to the water park. There truly is something for everyone at Waterville! The park is designed with families in mind. It provides a safe and enjoyable environment for children and adults alike.

Waterville has a large dedicated area for younger kids called “Wawa World” with age-appropriate attractions like small animal slides, a pirate boat, and a water dumping bucket, as well as shallow pools. The whole family can also enjoy Crystal Water Rivers, the Park’s lazy river that’s 1/3 of a mile long ride through the park where you’ll float past slides, rides, and lush tropical landscaping.

For the bigger kids and adults, there are lots of thrilling slides like the Dune Racer body slides where you can race with your friends and family, the Rainbow Falls slides, a trio of vibrant body slides, The Great White and Gold Rush tube slides, where riders can ride single, double, or even triple tubes, and of course, the Park’s two tallest slides, the Jet Stream and Screamin’ Demon. Trust us, if you’re a thrill seeker,  you must try the Screamin’ Demon, where you’ll fall almost 60 feet in a flash on Waterville’s most notorious white-knuckled scream machine. If thrills aren’t your thing, you can always head over to Park’s North Shore Wave Pool. Grab a tube and relax in the 25,000 square-foot mammoth pool throwing a beautiful, clear three-foot wave, where the surf comes and goes in 15 minute intervals. This is also the perfect spot for mommies to take a break and catch some rays with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs.

No matter what floats your boat, families can spend quality time together and create lasting memories at Waterville’s Water Park attractions!

We were treated with a private poolside cabana in Cabana Cove! It was so nice to have somewhere to keep our belongings and relax in the shade with the kids in between slides and swimming. The big children really enjoyed the slides and the little ones enjoyed the lazy river and the wave pool. As parents, we are always concerned with safety and we were happy to see that there were lifeguards all over the park to help keep an eye on the little ones. After swimming, the adults took turns taking a break at the new Lagoon Bar. The cocktails were garnished beautifully and the bartenders were all so friendly. If you don’t want to venture out of your Cabana, you also have full bar and food service right in your private cabana, too!

We all had a fabulous time and agree that Waterville truly offers a little bit of everything for everyone. We highly recommend this great family-focused park that offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor attractions. We have plans to go back for more fun because we didn’t even have time to cover everything during out day! On our next visit, we are looking forward to riding go-carts, playing mini-golf, and bouncing on the trampoline!
