Are you vacationing with your teenager and wondering about activities they might find fun? Here are our top 8 teen recommendations for your Alabama Gulf Coast Beach Vacation.
- The Amusement Park at OWA. There’s plenty to do at OWA including an amusement park, shopping, and a brand new indoor water park! This is the perfect place for your teens to make some memories and have a great time on vacation.
- Bowling. Everyone likes bowling- even too-cool-teenagers! The Gulf Bowl & Captains Choice Restaurant are the perfect place to kill a few hours with your teens or dodge the rain. There’s laser tag, a ropes course, pool tables, and an arcade too.
- Sandcastle Building Class. Every childhood beach trip is filled with hours on hours of playing in the sand and (attempting) to build sandcastles. Let the experts at Sandcastle University finally teach your teens the right way to build a sandcastle creation. This unique activity will bring out their artistic side and is a great team-building activity.
- Waterville. This long-time Gulf Shores family staple has 20 acres of fun for the whole family. Waterville features a waterpark, mini-golf, trampoline, escape house, virtual reality, arcade and more.
- The Selfie Museum at The Wharf. Do you have a cyber-addicted teen that is glued to their phone? The Selfie Museum is the place for them! Let them snap away selfies and perfect their social media photography skills at this unique spot at The Wharf.
- Race Go-Carts. You’re never too old to ride go-carts! Even the coolest teen will have fun bumping his siblings on the racecourse at The Track.
- Go to the Movies. Whether it’s a rainy day or your teen is just a cinema-buff, the movies are always a crowd-pleaser. Check out the daily showtimes and enjoy the air conditioning at the local movie theater in Gulf Shores, the CMX Pinnacle 14. Be sure to send them with money for popcorn, candy & a drink!
- Bike in Gulf State Park. If your teen is more of the outdoors type, then biking in the Alabama State Park Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail is the perfect activity. There’s a bike rental shop right near one of the entrances to the park on Perdido Beach Blvd. in Orange Beach.
