If you’re looking for a luxurious day on the water with all of the amenities of home then the Southern Belle is the boat for you! This 45’ Sea Ray Express Bridge has everything that you need to relax in style! Your captain, Chris, is gregarious, endearing and extremely knowledgeable of the Alabama Gulf Coast waterways. You’ll also experience true southern hospitality from stewardess, Jessica. They’ll have you feeling pampered and relaxed in no time!
The spacious, air conditioned interior has plenty of bench seating perfect for enjoying some cocktails and there are also two restrooms on board. The stern is equipped with a custom made cedar table and plenty of seating. Up on the bow, the gorgeous view and sea breeze steal the show. There you’ll find comfy bean bags, bench seating, and a bunny pad that are perfect for kicking back while taking in the cruise.
We arrived with some guests at San Roc Cay Marina around 5:30pm for the sunset sailing cruise. We were warmly greeted on the dock by Captain Chris and Jessica and welcomed aboard the Southern Belle. After filling out some paperwork and a brief safety meeting, we were encouraged to get comfortable and prepare for the charter to begin. We made our way out to bow of the boat and lounged on the bean bags and bunny pad. Jessica promptly took our drink orders and within minutes arrived with ice cold homemade bushwackers and their chilled house wine, a Chilean rosé, for the group.
We cruised around the islands, up Ole River, and all around Terry Cove and learned about the tour they give vacationers, who may not be as familiar with the area. Jessica was amazing the entire charter and made sure that we had everything we needed. We wanted for nothing and it was such a treat! Halfway through our charter we made our way back to the stern and enjoyed a GORGEOUS gourmet charcuterie board overflowing with yummy cheeses, meats, house-made pickled onions, pickles, crackers and more.
We finished our evening watching the sunset over the water and Jessica took some amazing photos of our group too. Once we headed back to the dock we enjoyed visiting with Captain Chris and Jessica and even got to feed the dock catfish some of our leftover charcuterie.
This experience was incredible and we give it two thumbs up for sure! It’s perfect for a group of ladies wanting a full day or afternoon of pampering, a family wanting something fun and entertaining for the adults AND the children, or a group of friends celebrating a milestone event like a birthday or bachelorette/bachelor party.
